Project Manager / Estimator

MW Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Federal Construction Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. The Project Manager serves the on-site MW Services manager responsible for supporting the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a project, supervises and mentors the project staff to include multiple Superintendents, Foremen, and trade workers. Works in conjunction with the Quality Control staff to manage work volume. The ideal candidate must have been responsible for developing line-item pricing of Government projects nationwide with specialty knowledge of HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing disciplines. Experience with Job Order Contracts, Design-Build and SABER contracts would be desirable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Along with Proposal Manager and other team members, examines RFP and assist in Bid/No Bid decisions.

  • Attend site visits and Pre-bid meetings.

  • Review Plans and Specifications.

  • Perform quantity take-offs and develops Execution Narratives to explain Scopes of Work.

  • Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes to justify pricing.

  • Assemble estimates, schedules, and participates in company bid reviews.

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate projects with project team.

  • Maintain customer database for developing and maintaining strong customer relations.

  • Project financial controls and monthly financial review.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of construction experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

  • Strong computer skills especially Excel and Word. Experience with e4-Clicks estimating software would be a benefit.

  • Possess a firm understanding of general construction trades with emphasis on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

  • Experience with Federal construction contracts.

  • Ability to anticipate issues with designs or processes, then be able to problem solve and offer solutions.

  • Ability to clearly communicate with clients and project team.

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and Federal background checks for access to military installations. 

Salary Range

  • $110,000 to $175,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
