Description:

• Construction of a 4,032-SF addition to an existing, mission-essential simulator building.

• Exterior walls constructed using reinforced CMU with 4” split rib veneer. Roofing is standing seam that matches and ties to the existing.

• Disciplines included mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and various finishes.

• Extensive HVAC to ensure reliability and continuous operability of the mechanical system. Included a new 90-ton chiller and two new 22,000 cfm air handlers.

• Included lightning protection for the building addition and upgrade to the existing structure.

• Installed a VESDA smoke detection system - an early warning smoke detection system used to protect the simulator and the pilots in training.

• Site work included new bollards, landscaping, sidewalks, and curbs.

• Project schedule was expedited in order to finish the facility addition prior to an earlier simulator delivery date.
